Found via Tokyo Mango, here is a nice stop-motion short film shot in Tokyo. The film website can be seen here, and the HD version is here.

I just found yet another awesome Tokyo video. This one was made using the new Canon EOS 5d Mark II and the results are excellent. I especially like the transition in music and video at 2:12.

I’m almost at the point where making a category called “Amazing Tokyo video found on Vimeo” would make sense… There is such a huge amount of talented video maker posting stuff there, especially filmed in Tokyo. This time it’s a time-lapse movie by Samuel Cockedey. It makes me want to try doing video now, but I must stick to and get better at taking photos first…

It’s currently cherry blossoms season in Japan and a Vimeo user, who goes by the nickname James T. Kirk, uploaded a beautiful video of Sakura, japanese for cherry blossons, in Tokyo. Here’s his comment about his video:

Tried to catch some impressions of the most beautiful time here in Japan, the cherryblossom season. Actually, my JVC HD-3 has its weakpoints with nightshots but I forgot to take a normal digital camera for making a proper timelapse that day. Hope, everybody enjoys the video and visit Tokyo someday. It is worth joining the cherryblossom at least once in life … in reality much more beautiful than I could catch with my cam.

I found this amazing video today, everybody should go check the HD version directly on Vimeo website, especially for the ending scene. For someone like me who enjoys night photography and/or Tokyo at night the most, the sundown shot from 1:56 is simply beautiful.

This video was literally everywhere in my RSS reader today. I must have come across it about 12-15 times already, so I might just post it here as well. In the video, a camera has been put on a conveyor belt at a 回転寿司 or kaiten-zushi. Those are the sushi shop where customers just pick up plates on the belt, as much as they want. Every plate has a color and every color has a price, and that’s how bills are calculated at the end of the meal. Update: The original video from Youtube has been made private so I replaced it with a similar one from Vimeo.

Again one of my favorites from Vimeo, this one is from a user called Sugoi. The title says it all, a must watch for anybody remotely interested in Japan. This video gives a very special look of an empty Tokyo, which can be strange for some considering that Tokyo is usually known for it’s huge amount of citizens living in a city that never sleep. Surprisingly though, when I first visited Tokyo, I was also surprised at how often I would found myself in someplace with nobody around…

Cool video I found last year of two guys doing long board, the camera swapping is a nice touch and the video in HD is just awesome.
